Cleaning Dog or Cat hair!

It's been interesting trying to figure out new ways to clean Dog or Cat hair out of carpets. Vacuuming doesn't always get it out of the carpet. One tool that I am finding works really well is a damp cloth. Take the damp cloth and scrub the carpet like you were scrubbing a floor. Circular motions help grab the hair.

Try this after you've vacuumed to see how much you might have missed.

After you have finished with the damp cloth run the vacuum cleaner over it again to smooth it out. It will take a while to get the really deep down hair but it can eventually come out so it's not as noticeable.

More about what we do!

With a website being hard to update consistently I have started this blog to give people a better idea of what we do, who does it and why.

What: It's all about you! We say that and mean it. So many times people have told me that " I have had a cleaner in the past and I asked them to focus on something and they didn't." If you want something specific done just let us know. Some tasks like window cleaning or carpet cleaning are not available currently but we will be working with reputable firms to handle those jobs in the future.

Who: Marne's Cleaning will be more than just Marne. We have cleaners who work as sub-contractors to Marne's Cleaning These cleaners will have been trained by Marne and will be qualified to do the job you want. As my business grows I will not be able to clean every home but rest assured you will get the quality that you are looking for. Our cleaners are not full-time cleaners but will be people like myself who find satisfaction in doing a "great" job. If you know someone who fits that description and maybe looking to make some part time money please let us know.

How: There is a system to cleaning a home effectively and efficiently. Little tricks of the trade are important to saving time. Fine detailed cleaning takes hard work but when you have the right tools it helps.

* We use your products so if you can leave those products out and in an easily identifiable location it helps.

* Pick up your stuff! If you take five minutes to pick up your stuff it helps us clean better. Time spent picking up stuff is time lost cleaning. Just a helpfull hint.

Why: I have always loved the feeling of a clean home and find great satisfaction in sharing that with others. Receiving an email or a phone call from a satisfied customer makes me feel great. It is hard work( great workout) but when done with a good attitude it makes a huge difference.

More to come!
